So, so much love has gone into this pretty. Love all those red houses, too. How annoying the person didn't stop after they crashed into your fence. Good your son could fix it up. Wonderful you can laugh despite all that's going on. Hoping your husband sees his surgeon soon.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782099930159071920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874247466650224560.post-8474416350422080302022-01-30T14:10:42.116-07:002022-01-30T14:10:42.116-07:00Your Cheddarback is looking great. I have a house quilt sort of "kitted up" and ready to go but it's all back in Tokyo and will have to wait. The puzzle looks like trouble lol. How do you turn it over??? As for your fence, that must have really scared the driver who did it, but they (obviously) really should have stopped. It must have been a shock to hear that from inside the house. It's great that you live near your children - a blessing. I too love those lines of hand quilting you are laying. Makes me feel I should be more creative with my stitching presently. I adore that house quilt and would jump in to make one but finishing two red quilts right now. My jigsaw is not as interesting as that one for sure.
How strange that someone would leave after causing such damage. Disappointing! But so happy it got easily fixed.Jocelyn is Canadian Needle Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11770193529950365462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874247466650224560.post-80329200082735782852022-01-26T16:39:47.972-07:002022-01-26T16:39:47.972-07:00Your puzzle bird is so cute! Others are a little more ho hum for whatever reason, I really don't know. Loved where you wrote that your kids like you. Such a blessing in this day and age! I think about that all the time with our four. We have friends whose children have cut them out of their life and it's dreadfully sad for them.audreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18102559813211702736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874247466650224560.post-86867606778170447992022-01-25T00:29:47.975-07:002022-01-25T00:29:47.975-07:00I so admire your dedication to hand quilting. I...I so admire your dedication to hand quilting. I've had the same big quilt in the hoop for literally years!
Great looking house blocks. What size do they finish? How many do you think you will make? I have a few house blocks made in blue/cream, but there is still no definite plan.
Oh, my goodness, that puzzle is crazy--on the front and the back. I don't think I have seen a wooden puzzle with that many pieces. Can't believe you finished it in 3 days, with everything else you do! I put up a puzzle Saturday night, but only had time to sort out the edge pieces and put a few together. Sunday when the family was over my daughter, granddaughter and DIL made really good progress. Even hubby put in a few pieces today, and I have yet to do anything more than I did Saturday night.
What a scary thing to have happen in your yard. Did you hear the crash, or discover it later in the morning? Other than the crash perpetrator running off, I didn't think your post sounded down! I would be bummed about that, too.Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874247466650224560.post-44303164447082045272022-01-24T21:22:28.033-07:002022-01-24T21:22:28.033-07:00Your quilting on Children's Hour is fabulous. ...Your quilting on Children's Hour is fabulous. It makes me wish I hadn't tried to try to reproduce the original all the way down to the quilting.
Your house blocks look great. How fun to make a red and white quilt. You'll know about the floral fabric when you put it up with the others. How big are the blocks? And is your pattern the one from SLoL? (I think there's a house in that.)
The puzzle looks a challenge. I think the character on the front is adorable--almost a fairy tale character. Does the puzzle have a name?
How awful about your fence. What a blessing your son could fix it, and quickly.
All the things you're praying for sound good, probably especially a cancellation with your husband's surgeon. I'm not a fan of doctors but sometimes, the sooner the better is the best thing.

Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12136584654825212359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874247466650224560.post-65842718354013693122022-01-24T12:01:42.758-07:002022-01-24T12:01:42.758-07:00Getting there with the quilting..... I do like the red and green floral print for your next block, maybe it will end up being your favorite house in the village! Seems like that driver would have some significant damage to the front end of the car, good that your son was able to do the repairs for you.
