Summer sewing

You know how sometimes your just get a "bee in your bonnet" and sew. . . . and sew . . . until you're done with a project?  That's what I have been doing on this "Scrap Tease" quilt,

I just want to sew and use things up.

The stack of strips at the front of the photo above were a bit of frustration.  I cut them out 6 3/8" instead of 6 5/8" so I had to recut about 50 pieces.

I completed the sewing on these 54 blocks this morning.  I still need to cut and sew the corner pieces for the blocks to make them square.

This is the 3rd time I have made this pattern.  I like it because it uses up lots of 1 1/2" strips and it sews up quickly.  And it turns out cute every time.  The original quilt has sashing but I like it better with just blocks side by side.

The pattern is by Bettie Hammock and there is a digital download here

My original goal was to use up all the Pam Kitty Morning scraps which I did.  I used up a lot more than that but my large scrap box looks just as full as before.  Isn't that always the case?

Do any of your have a pattern that you have made multiple times because you like it so well?
 If you do, please share.

Sewing from stash and using things up is a good feeling. I tend to make log cabins over and over!

The fabrics are such fun, Robin. It looks like this will be a bright, cheerful quilt. It's great you have enough scraps for a whole quilt.
How sad you had to recut. I suspect every quilter has done something similar. I know I have!
I know I've made several quilts with nine-patch blocks and several with log cabins and variations. And I'm currently working on churn dash #2.

Oh that is frustrating to have to recut after having so many pieces cut incorrectly.
As far as an actually pattern I have made multiple times, rather than a block I use a lot--I would have to say that the Primitive Gatherings Picnic Quilt pattern (don't know if the individual pattern is sold anymore, but I saw the design in a book Lisa put out a couple of years ago) was a "go to" for me for a while. I have made 3 of them. Two were quilted by check and gifted. The third is still a flimsy in my UFO closet. Probably made that one about 15-20 years ago. :)
The pattern you are using does look like a great way to use up scraps!

I probably need to get a 'bee in my bonnet' more often and quit procrastinating about a few things.:) Looks like you made some great progress! Love the scrappiness!

Loving the scrappiness of your blocks! I checked out the pattern, looks a great one to use up those precious scrappy bits & pieces.

Top is finished

I finished the Wisconsin quilt top.  That border is just so lovely.  It is from a line called "Riverbanks" by Jeanne Horton.  I h...
